Our Mission

Music is a big part of India’s culture & heritage, Folk Music of India has a lot of history & tradition and it goes back for centuries. Some of these folk musicians are exceptional & very talented. Their music really touches your soul. These musicians come from very remote areas & their livelihood depends mostly on tourism. There are some months that are very difficult for them & their families.

Zariya foundation is a non profit organisation by Salim- Sulaiman that helps & creates opportunities for these folk musicians that are constantly struggling to make a livelihood while keeping our culture & tradition alive.

We at Zariya Foundation are making efforts to look after the well being of the families of these folk musicians from Barmer & Jaisalmer in Rajasthan.

Some of these musicians have even toured with us & performed all over the world in countries like the US , Canada , UK , RUSSIA & continue to be part of Salim Sulaiman Live. Zariya foundation has taken the responsibility of supporting these incredible musicians & their families to keep their music & the culture & tradition alive for india & for all the rest of the world.
